The American Civil Liberties Union is leading a national campaign to support government whistleblowers and encourage others to come forward. As part of this effort, they are now representing me as I appeal the government's use of the so-called state secrets privilege in my case. The appeal includes a broad amicus brief strategy (including 9/11 family members, Members of Congress, whistleblowers, and others) that we plan to showcase at a press event in DC on Wednesday, January 26th. The idea is to go beyond my case to demonstrate that there is a systemic pattern by the government of firing people who uncover weaknesses in our ability to prevent terrorist attacks.
